"Not big into celebs. myself, but as they are in the public eye, they serve a purpose and can be a useful vehicle. Whatever their shade of green, they do raise awareness and that has to be a good thing right?"

"@kenny, you´re right. Although I loathe them, they have their purpose. i guess what I dont like is when they use green stories to leverage their status. watch the space, it will soon be "Celebrities grow their own veg" and "celebrity ice skating" will become something of the past."

"@cooltivator, with regards to your question, am not sure really. For me, a green celebrity is someone who is pushing forward the green debate and green agenda into the mainstream. whether it´s by boosting about their Prius or saving a specie from extinction, I couldnt care less."

"@ Mark, Okeydoeky!...So,This week my favorite (proper) green celeb is Chris Packman for being passionate and truly outspoken on green & wildlife subjects.

Last year he was quoted saying: "I'd eat the last panda if I could have the money we've spent on panda conservation back on the table for me to do more sensible things with."
