"Olivier Filippi is probably one of the best known dry plant experts in the Languedoc, his and his partner's Calara's Perpiniere between Sete and Agde at Meze is a rich treasure of dry climate plants from the Mediterranean Basin, South Africa, Chile, Mexico and California.
It is a flower garden with no trees or veggies.
As well as the plants for sale there he allows customers to walk through his extensive garden which shows all the planst on sale in location giving cutomers a chance to see what could happen when the plants reach maturity.
He is also committed to an organic approach, the plants aren't cheap- most around 8 euro, but they are grown in long forestry pits which means they avoid root tangle and have the strength to survive from day one in the garden.
