"April brings us Easter and most people I know will be giving and receiving vast amounts of Easter eggs....A hollow chocolate egg, wrapped in foil, held in a plastic protective casing and stored in a decorative box..Grrrrr such hideous waste.
At this point I'll share with you that although I'm not at all religious in any way I celebrate Easter with my children as a celebration of spring , re-growth and recreation.
I will be focusing this month on celebrating without waste, We'll bake cookies in easter themed shapes , plant seeds and bulbs and make decorations from recycled bits and bob. We will have all of the trimmings, just without the excess or waste.
So mine is "celebrating without waste" What could your Pre-cycle focus for the month be?"

"Otustata, I'm all for any excuse to give and receive chocolate, It just bugs me to think of all that unnecessary waste ending up in landfill! I remember dying eggs in onion skins and beetroot too, I've not heard of it done recently, maybe we can bring back this tradition!!
Jonkke: As for Cadbury's eco-easter, at least by slashing the packaging by 20% they are taking a step in the right direction, but I wish they'd do more. Thanks for the link !"
