"Nestle is fuelling rainforest destruction for palm oil and the situation in Indonesia is terrible. Join the boycott by signing the petition on the Greenpeace website"

"i am. i also try not to purchase most items 'free' from palm oil but am having trouble getting a good list of products/manufacturers.
not sure about this 'sustainable' palm oil either - can anyone define whether it has been put in place of forest...surely it has been planted where forest used to be - is planting one palm in place of another that good?"

"@Christine, I think you're right. I think they have to clear land first prior to planting palm trees. if they clear land, they have to cut existing trees and bushes. They dont see any value in the tree they cut as they can make more money from selling palm oil. To conclude and to answer your questions, bad bad bad"
