"Following Mr Justice Burton's ruling that green beliefs should enjoy the same protection as religious ones, many committed recyclers will have been wondering how green you have to be to become unsackable. Do you think the green movement is a faith?"

"The proof is in the pudding. If it turns more people deep green, albeit into dogmatic unthinking autonomous greens religiously doing their duty as a form of outsourced moral code , great!
If the defenders of the faith are scientists practicing rigours scientific method, rather than mystics spouting new age mumbo jumbo and pseudo scientific trash, then lets do it!
After all a wind turbine is more or less the same shape as a crucifix, and probably more fun to be nailed to.
Onward eco-warriors, marching as to war, with the cross of Vestas going on before!"

"@jerome, you certainly have the power with words. I think changes have to be made whether they are through beliefs or duties. I personally think that it wont make a damn of a difference if green living is seen as a religion or not. Are the churches full these days? No, they have either been turned into posh apartments or pubs. So applauding green as a new religion is quite premature. People these days are passive, they only get active and vibrant in front of a football match or TV. They wont do anything unless they have to and are taxed if they dont. Sad, no?"
