"What have you done to green your life/home so far?"

"Working on it: I don't make a lot of trash, about 1 15 gal bag every 3 weeks. I recycle everything my local area has a center for. I drive a car that gets over 30mpg on the highway. I only use lights in rooms I am in and all are either CFLs or very low wattage (2 25W candelabras in each of my ceiling fan lights). I reuse my shower water to water my plants (here in the desert that really helps).

Ways I can definitely improve: Getting a job closer to home to lessen my commute (saves both gas and emissions). Buying better packaged foods and goods. Driving slower. Not leaving my TV on sleep mode at night and just turning it off before I go to sleep would save some electric I suppose.

I'm always looking for new ways to be greener, though."

"I forgot to mention that my electric bill is usually less than $25/mo and my gas bill is less than $30 except in the dead of winter. I also take very short showers (5 minutes or less)."

"Well done for creating such a useful and practical tribe. I have a smart meter so am green and I know exactly from one week to the next if I am overuntilising or doing better than the previous week. Would recommend."

"I am a kind of muddy brown colour with a slight green tinge.

I do all the usual stuff like trying to recycle, efficient car, reducing driving where possible, but I like to eat, I have a washing machine and a fridge and freezer and home entertainment stuff....

I guess I could be greener, but I lift share with 3 others (can't get any more in the car) so that is not so bad...."
