"Btw, pollination can be very efficient in cities as well -- I have a cute story. Fortnum & Mason's on Piccadilly have beehives on the roof of their store (right in the heart of central London) and they sell the honey made by the rooftop bees at the store. I think it's a sweet idea. They even have a webcam of the beehive on their website."

"Brunella, I like the idea of the rooftop bees. But the thought of honey made by bees that have used pollen, covered in particulates from motor exhausts, is not so appetising. Tell me I'm being irrational."

"Crunch T- as opposed to bees in the countryside which have merely to deal with pesticides, fungicides, nitrogen based fertilisers... that's the problem them there fossil fuel residues gets everywhere. At least the bees at F&Ms get to munch on the Queens daffs over in the Buckingham Palace gardens."
