Sales activity at Whispering Hills has been very strong so far in 2010, surpassing last year’s tally, reported Pamela Schuster, marketing and sales manager for Walters Homes. The developer has signed 15 contracts on new townhouses during a five-month year-to-date period. Currently, five buildings are under construction in the eco-friendly development, comprising 28 units.

The Whispering Hills community was unveiled last year, and since then five buildings, comprising 26 units have been completed. The entire development is being built to LEED-Silver standards, making them on average 30% to 50% more energy efficient than conventional non-green homes, according to the U.S. Green Building Council. “LEED-certification also translates into savings on energy and water usage. Energy Star-certified appliances are installed in every new home we build,” said Ed Walters, Jr., president and founder of the Walters Group.

“The strong sales are expected to continue through the summer,” claimed Schuster, “especially considering the attractive cost structure and incentives offered to buyers in this market.”

The 85-acre multi-family community offers townhouses starting at $233,450 for the Willow, $238,525 for the Heather, $243,595 for the Bayberry, and $253,750 for the Meadow. Eligible buyers can save $1,500 in seller concessions when using one of Walters’ preferred lenders. For a limited time, valuable incentives are being offered on select townhouses currently under construction in Building 4. Buyers will receive a free finished basement and half bath when purchasing either the Meadow or Willow models. This offer cannot be combined with any other deal. Seller concessions are not being offered on any unit in Building 4.

Buyers reap rewards at Ocean Acres at Barnegat
Single-family sales remain steady at Ocean Acres at Barnegat where pricing on Energy Star-certified homes start at $249,995. Spring incentives include $15,000 off options and $5,000 off on fully finished basements for the Newport, Madison, Sterling, Cheswick, Mayfield and Cambridge models. Also offered are $10,000 off options and $5,000 off on fully finished basements for the Sherwood, Hanover, and Ashton models.

The long list of standard features at Ocean Acres includes jetted Kohler whirlpool tubs in most of the master baths; 12” x 12” ceramic tile in the foyer; kitchen/breakfast nook;  irrigation well for lawn sprinklers (houses are hooked up to city water); and a breakfast bay nook in many models.

Walters Homes is now selling phase 8 for July 2010 delivery with many oversized, corner and cul de sac lots still available. The Ocean Acres at Barnegat sales office and two models are located at 57 Nautilus Drive just off Exit 67 of the Garden State Parkway.

Both developments are located in the coastal community of Barnegat where residents enjoy close proximity to beaches, fine shopping, and highways.
