easyFairs® INTERIOR FIT-OUT Satisfies Commercial Demands

Interior refurbishment once again took to the spotlight at easyFairs®INTERIOR FIT-OUT. The show organisers reported another record visitor turnout after numerous commercial interior designers and architects supported a show purely dedicated to their sector.
The May 5-6 ExCeL event attracted 1,332 visitors an increase of 5.5 percent on last year. easyFairs® INTERIOR FIT-OUT has received continual support from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), The Association of Interior Specialists (AIS), The National Association of Shopfitters (NAS), The Building Centre, BRE and The Charted Society of Designers (CSD).
easyFairs® Managing Director, Matt Benyon, comments: “Year on year we have seen an increase in the number of visitors, which is very impressive considering we are still experiencing tough times. I feel the show has really struck the right chord with architects and designers seeking commercial interior innovations.
The show clearly captures the evolving nature of the interiors sector and the serious benefits good design brings to society .It’s also clear from the show that eco-friendly solutions are key, it is undoubtedly what all shoppers are seeking. ”
Exhibitor numbers were also up, with shopfitters and product suppliers ranging from ceilings, floors and walls, storage solutions, lighting to fabrics, decorative glass, and contemporary furniture. Many have already rebooked for easyFairs® INTERIOR FIT-OUT 2011 which is scheduled to take place in May next year.
Exhibitors and visitors alike were impressed by the show:
Exhibitor Keith Lovelace, Director, Ideas Limited, said: “We had a great show at INTERIOR FIT-OUT exhibiting our own storagewall and wall panelling system suitable for a variety of applications and working environments including; offices, boardrooms, hotels, restaurants, shops and reception areas. The exhibition provided a steady flow of new contacts which will prove to be of value in the near future. Indeed we were so busy that we didn't have time to walk around the show itself. We are already following up on live enquiries. So, all in all a great few days. It is a shame it couldn't be longer!”
Simon Forrester, Chief Executive of the AIS, one of the show partners for the show and also an exhibitor commented: "The show was a great success for AIS and our membership, with excellent opportunities to meet new and existing customers, and find out about the latest products and services for the interiors sector. We saw a rise in the number of members exhibiting, a key factor in developing the show, and we were pleased to see a rise in visitor numbers, with some top quality leads generated, including a few applications for AIS membership. From the outset AIS and easyFairs have formed a strong partnership, to mutual benefit. We will continue working with the easyFairs team to make the show a greater success in future years."
Visiting INTERIOR FIT-OUT was Kevin Hemmings, Architect at Base Structures Ltd “The Interior and Fit-out show worked for me as a specialist sub contractor as it provided a targeted networking opportunity - resulting in one potential strategic alliance and a live enquiry from a fit out contractor within 48 hours!”
