Chris Huhne, Secretary of State for Environment and Climate Change

After 5 years in Parliament, Chris Huhne the liberal democrat MP has been made Secretary of State for Environment and Climate Change.
He is following in the footstep of the committed labour Ed Milliband.
Will Ed Milliband´s approval for nuclear energy be matched in the same way by Mr. Huhne? At its core, the Lib Dem party strongly opposes Nuclear but with the coalition in full swing, what will the new government´s position be?
The coalition has adopted the pledge of the 10:10 campaign and will cut CO2 emissions from central government by 10% within the next 12 months.
The conservative government pledged in its manifesto to create four carbon capture and storage equipped power plants (similar to what Labour had envisaged) but what of the true lib dem? No real mention of the CCS in LIb dem´s manifesto.
The honeymoon is over so let´s see what solutions the new "progressive government" will bring to the biggest issue facing the planet today, Global Warming.
