THERE'S A WILDCAT SANCTUARY IN MINNESOTA, USA!

First of all, thanks to everyone who has joined this tribe.  I hope you will use it to spread the word about organizations that you KNOW are doing good work. First-hand knowledge keeps it REAL!

Which is why I want to mention The Wildcat Sanctuary located in Sandstone, Minnesota. I grew up not far from there and it's an unlikely place to have a sanctuary for lions, tigers, cougars, panthers, etc. (if you know anything about Minnesota...lions aren't native to the area!). But this place is doing amazing work. It's a non-profit organization and not open to the public. Many of the animals there have been badly abused by thoughtless and careless people (I won't say humans because real HUMANS know better!) and the founder of the sanctuary places their need for a safe, healing environment above the possiblity that turning it into a petting zoo would make it easier to raise money!

I have no connection to this organization other than a desire to let people know about it and encourage you to support their work in whatever way you can.  I do absolutely KNOW that the money goes to caring for the animals and the people who work there are devoted to this work. A friend of mine who is an animal communicator has been allowed to visit the compound to help some of the more traumatized cats. She has verified for me that this is an organization worth supporting.

Please, take a moment to visit www.wildcatsanctuary.org. The pictures of the big cats are spectacular! And you'll be uplifted by the wonderful work being done by dedicated HUMANS. It's all about people who care...
