Oysters in deep trouble: Is Pacific Ocean's chemistry killing sea life?
I haven't been active on CoolTribe, but I thought of CoolTribe when reading this from my local newspaper online and thought I'd post something here about it:
"Oysters in deep trouble: Is Pacific Ocean's chemistry killing sea life?" by Craig Welch. Seattle Times. June 14, 2009.
"Oyster larvae have been dying by the billions. Scientists suspect it's a sign that carbon dioxide is dramatically affecting the ocean — and if they're right, it could push Washington into the center of the debate about the future of the seas.
"Oysters' failure to reproduce will lead workers like Northern Oyster Co.'s Gildardo Mendoza to collect far more of their product from a state "oyster preserve" in Willapa Bay. Pacific oysters haven't successfully reproduced in the wild since 2004."

Yes, it applies to them all, frankly. If it were just raw, organic sewage, it would be bad enough; but that it's non-biodegradable things, even probably nanotech particles (Pentagon), is just the insanity of the greedy and careless who think they'll get theirs now and to Hell with posterity. Little do they realize that the problems are compounding and the rate of ruination will come on exponentially. They are practicing the exact opposite of the Golden Rule even though many of them mouth it in their religious affirmations. It's just lip service. Their hearts are not in it. The Earth will spew them out.
